Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag showed the squad where they must improve during a team meeting before the Newcastle United match.
Domestic football has returned this weekend following the international break, which Ten Hag welcomed as a breather and a necessary chance to re-energise the coaching staff as much as the players. While United sit third in the Premier League table, in pole position to secure Champions League football next season, areas of improvement remain in the final months of the manager's first season at Old Trafford.
With the club's campaigns in the Europa League and FA Cup also resuming later this month, there is ample opportunity to achieve the targets set by Ten Hag. Analysis in the form of a video pointed these areas out to the players on Friday.

"We pointed it all to them," Ten Hag told Sky Sports News. "We set the targets again and showed where to improve our game."
The visual guide was complied by the club's performance analysts, Ten Hag and his backroom staff and focused on their play in possession. Being better at wanting the ball, staying on it, assessing where the overloads are and attracting opponents in before hurting them have all been highlighted by the manager.
Decision-making in attacking transition and recovering during such defensive situations also featured. The analysis focused on footage from fixtures played since the season resumed after the World Cup.
