What Driver Does Bryson DeChambeau Use?

Bryson DeChambeau puts a lot of emphasis on his long-game which makes the driver arguably the most important club in his bag. Despite DeChambeau being a constant tinkerer of his setup and golf clubs, it seems he has finally found a driver that he is happy to stick with as well. We explain the unique golf club below...

What Driver Does Bryson DeChambeau Use?

DeChambeau used to be a Cobra staff player until his equipment contract was not renewed at the end of 2022. As such he went from using the Cobra LTDx driver to a TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus for a while. However he now uses a driver that nobody had really heard of before - a Krank Formula Fire LD Driver.

“It’s a great driver,” DeChambeau said to Golf.com. “It’s won a bunch of World Long Drive championships, and it’s performed the best — it’s performed — how do I say this? It’s probably performed the best I’ve ever had in the past five years in professional golf for me, ever since 2018 when I was striping it early in the year.”

Specifically, the Krank driver has six degrees of loft and having previously used a Project X HZRDUS shaft, we believe he now uses a LA Golf BAD Prototype shaft instead which measures around the 45-inches mark. The “LD” designation in the name stands for “long drive,” and Krank is a brand you see more on the Long Drive circuit than in the professional ranks. As such the clubhead has been designed to withstand repeated blows at 175 mph and above, which is especially handy for DeChambeau as he has cracked driver faces in the past.

“Ever since I put this driver into play, it’s not been really my golf swing,” DeChambeau said. “It’s just hit on the toe, hit on the heel, everything comes back down the middle of the fairway, and I’m like, all right, pick up the tee and let’s go. The driver has been really nice. It’s allowed me to have some time to myself after rounds instead of going and working my butt off all the time.”

Bryson also carries a Krank Formula Fire fairway wood too and if you want to see his entire setup, see our Bryson DeChambeau what's in the bag post.
