What do Josh Jacobs, Donald Driver and Robert Brooks now have in common?

Not only did Josh Jacobs catch his first career receiving touchdown on Sunday against the Houston Texans, but the veteran running back joined an exclusive club of milestone touchdown scorers in Green Bay Packers history.

Jacobs now has something in common with former Packers greats Donald Driver and Robert Brooks.

Brooks caught Brett Favre’s 50th career touchdown pass on No. 6, 1994.

Driver caught Aaron Rodgers’ 50th career touchdown pass on Nov. 26, 2009.

Jacobs caught Jordan Love’s 50th career touchdown pass on Oct. 20, 2024.

Every 15 years, a Packers quarterback is throwing a 50th career touchdown pass.

Jacobs said he was going to give the touchdown ball to Love, who threw his 50th touchdown pass in his 23rd career start.

“I’m going to let him have it. I’ve done a lot in this league…he’s going to be a great quarterback,” Jacobs said in the post-game locker room.

Here’s Jacobs’ milestone touchdown:

Love has thrown multiple touchdown passes in 11 straight games including the postseason and dating back to last year.

Favre threw his 50th touchdown pass in his third season as starter. Rodgers’ 50th touchdown pass came late in his second season.

Love currently is tied for the NFL lead with 15 touchdown passes despite missing two starts. Averaging three touchdown passes a game with 10 games left, Love is on pace for 45 touchdown passes in 2024.
