What David Moyes has said on Michail Antonio’s West Ham future amid Everton, Wolves and MLS links

West Ham United manager David Moyes has said that he is not interested in parting ways with striker Michail Antonio before the transfer window closes.

The 32-year-old, who is West Ham’s top scorer in Premier League history, recently said that he was open to leaving the club this month, with Everton, Wolverhampton Wanderers and clubs in Major League Soccer all credited with an interest in him.

With West Ham’s other two current strikers Gianluca Scamacca and Danny Ings both sidelined with knee injuries, Antonio started for the Hammers on Monday night in their 2-0 FA Cup fourth round over Derby County, heading in Jarrod Bowen’s deflected cross early in the second half to seal a fourth round win at Pride Park.

Given Antonio’s recent comments and links with a move away, there has been plenty of speculation surrounding Antonio’s future. Manager Moyes however is not planning to let him depart before the transfer window closes at 11pm on Tuesday night.

“Money talks in football everywhere but at the moment, no, I’d say there's no chance, said Moyes. “Let’s be fair, there’s probably prices for every player around the country but at the moment, I don’t think there’s any price we are interested in taking for Mick. I’d probably say no to that.”

Antonio’s second half header against the Rams on Monday night was his sixth goal of the season in all competitions. However, just two have come in the Premier League this term.
