Chelsea ’s busy summer is starting to heat up as the days tick on. With pre-season just around the corner, fans are still patiently waiting for the Blues to complete their first men's team signing of the window, but they may not have to wait much longer.
football.london understands that personal terms have been agreed with Raheem Sterling after a fee was agreed with Manchester City for his transfer. Adding to that, it is also understood that his teammate, Nathan Ake, could also re-sign at Stamford Bridge with advanced talks underway.
It begins a huge rebuilding process for Thomas Tuchel, who has lost a number of key players in the past few months. There are, however, still areas that will need to be fulfilled in the squad beyond the two potential incomings.

A natural centre-forward could be a desired option, following the exit of Romelu Lukaku on loan to Inter Milan. The Belgian made the club-record return to Chelsea last summer, but failed to hit the heights and won’t be in the plans for the upcoming season.
A number of players have been linked for the role, including Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portugal international was subject of discussion in a meeting between new owner Todd Boehly and agent Jorge Mendes as he tries to sound out a potential move for his client.
And in light of such talk, Manchester United have confirmed that Ronaldo won’t be joining the squad on their tour of Thailand. The 37-year-old has been given extra time to deal with a personal and family issue.
It remains to be seen whether this will have any impact on a potential move this summer amid the links with a Chelsea switch.
