Christian Pulisic failed to acknowledge the travelling Chelsea supporters at full-time of the side's 2-1 defeat to Southampton on Tuesday night. The Blues team went over to the away stand and thanked the fans for their support but Pulisic went straight down the tunnel.
Chelsea were deservedly beaten at St. Mary's, despite Raheem Sterling scoring his third goal in two matches to hand the visitors the lead down on the south coast. Goals from Romeo Lavia and Adam Armstrong before half-time ensured the Saints came away with all three points.
Thomas Tuchel tried his best to get Chelsea back into the game in the second-half, which included a host of substitutes. Pulisic was one of them, coming on for Kai Havertz on 66 minutes, but the USA international failed to impress in his brief cameo.

Rumours continue to circulate over the 23-year-old's future, although it looks increasingly likely he will stay at Stamford Bridge now with less than 48 hours of the transfer window to go. He failed to endear himself to Chelsea fans, though, as @RRR95x posted a video on Twitter of Pulisic walking down the tunnel, with the caption: "At least thank us Christian Pulisic".
For Chelsea, it was their second defeat of the season and Tuchel was understandably a frustrated figure when talking to the media after the game. The Chelsea head coach was not sure what to put the defeat down to specifically.
He said: "I don't have the answer to every question so quickly after the match. But obviously, we are not tough enough to win these matches at the moment, away. It's a bit the same story like Leeds.
"In Leeds, we thought the problem was that we did not score in the first 20-25 minutes. They put us off balance with two goals in two minutes, and we could not find answers.
"Today we scored, so we thought everything was okay, but one set-piece again, one sloppy defending again, and we are off balance. And today, we did not react to it; we were lucky not to concede the third goal. We were not tough enough as a team to react or to push it over the line for us."
