Scotland's racing royalty has descended on Ayr racecourse for the pinnacle of the sport north of the border.
Scottish-based trainer Lucinda Russell will be hoping to make it two in two after Corach Rambler romped to victory at Aintree last week in the Grand National. In today's Scottish Grand National she has two horses, Your Own Story ridden by Derek Foz and Mighty Thunder ridden by Patrick Wadge.
Monbeg Genius goes into the race as the favourite at 11/2, while Your Own Story (6/1) and early favourite Kitty's Light (7/1) are second and third respectfully. Win My Wings took the title last year for the Christian Williams yard so he will be hoping for a double with Kitty's Light. Scottish owned Dusart (Ronnie Bartlett) is on 25/1 with Elvis Mail (Nick Alexander) 12/1, Flash Collonges (Paul Nicholls) 11/1 and Undersupervision (Nigel Twiston-Davies) 18/1 all in contention to win the big prize.
