What channel is the Galway Races on today? TV information for Galway Plate day at Ballybrit

The Galway Plate takes centre stage on day three of the Galway Races today as Gordon Elliott bids to win the race for the fourth time in five years.

The Co Meath trainer tasted success with Borice and has a number of leading chance again this year as he runs five and also has one of the reserves.

His runner Galvin is currently favourite, while Willie Mullins also has a number with big chances as he fields six.

The big race will of course be shown live on TV this evening. Here's everything you need to know:

When do the races start?

The first contest on Wednesday takes place at 4.45pm.

What channel are they on?

RTE Two will show a number of races from 5.30pm until 7.30pm.

Racing TV will show all races from the meeting live.
