What channel is the Euro 2022 U19 final? England kick-off time, TV and live stream details

The 2022 UEFA European Under-19 Championship may have gone under the radar for many over the past two weeks but England's Young Lions are on the verge of history as they prepare to compete in Friday’s final against Israel.

Ian Foster’s side won all three of their Group B games against Austria (2-0), Serbia (4-0) and Israel (1-0) to finish top of the group and advance to the semi-finals, where they came from a goal behind to beat Group A runners-up Italy 2-1 on Tuesday.

Now they face group stage opponents Israel for the second time in the final, who finished as runners-up behind England before shocking Group A winners France with a 2-1 victory in their semi-final on Tuesday.

When is the Euro 2022 U19 final?

The final of the Euro 2022 U19 Championship will kick off at 7pm on Friday, July 1 at the Anton Malatinsky Stadium in Trnava, Slovakia.

The last meeting between these two sides came just six days ago when England defeated Israel 1-0 in their final Group B game of the tournament at the Mestsky stadion in Ziar nad Hronom.

Manchester City's Liam Delap scored the only goal of the game after just six minutes of the tie to ensure that the Three Lions would progress to the semi-finals of the tournament as Group B winners, ensuring they would face Italy in the final four.

Team news

Having just one previous appearance in this tournament back in 2014, Israel have certainly shocked everyone by reaching the final this year and manager Offir Haim will be desperate to create further history by pulling off the biggest shock of them all.

Israel have reported no fresh injury concerns from their semi-final clash with France Under-19s, so it would not be a surprise to see an unchanged lineup. Maccabi Tel Aviv’s Oscar Gloukh is their top scorer with two goals and will pose as their main threat in the no.10 role.

As for Ian Foster’s Three Lions, they will be full of confidence heading into this one after winning every game so far, including a 1-0 victory against tonight’s opponents in the group stage, while they also have no fresh injury concerns to contend with.

Aston Villa’s Carney Chukwuemeka and Tottenham's Dane Scarlett are the leading goalscorers with two each to their names and will be certain starters here, while Bristol City’s Alex Scott will be pushing for a start after coming off the bench to score against Italy in the semi-finals. Liverpool's Jarell Quansah, who scored the winner in that game, will also start.
