And then there were two. Shortly to become three.
Yep, Celtic joined Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the hat for the Scottish Cup semi-final draw after hammering Hearts 3-1. Today, those two teams will be bolstered by a third as Rangers continue their defence of the trophy they won at Hampden last May under Giovanni van Bronckhorst.
Michael Beale’s side must overcome Raith Rovers, though. The Fifers beat Motherwell in the last round and Beale has already warned his players to be on their guard. Mind you, Rangers looked pretty tasty in midweek as they dismantled a Hibs team that had been going well in recent weeks. Today’s a different competition, however, and there is huge pressure on the Glasgow giants to win a piece of silverware, which is pretty much looking as if the Cup is their only chance. The team news is out and John Lundstram starts for the Light Blues at Ibrox.
It promises to be a fascinating tie and here Record Sport has all the info you need on how to watch it...
