What channel is Nottingham Forest vs Brighton? Kick-off time, TV and live stream details

Both the battle to avoid for relegation and the race for Europe will take another twist tonight when Nottingham Forest take on Brighton.

After 11 league games without a win, Steve Cooper's side lie 19th in the table and in desperate need of a win. The 3-2 defeat at Anfield on Sunday signified a competitive display, but it's points, not plaudits, that Forest desperately need now to avoid an immediate return to the Championship.

But the Seagulls will also be hell bent on three points, albeit for different reasons. Roberto De Zerbi's side are no longer a surprise package, they lie eighth with games in hand on those above them, and have Europa League qualification in their grasp. And with a resurgent Liverpool, one point and one place above them, at West Ham tonight, maintaining momentum is vital.

What time is kick-off?

The Forest clash against Brighton is set to get underway at 7.30pm.

The last meeting between the two teams came back in October, a result that meant De Zerbi became the first Brighton manager to fail to win any of his first four league games since Barry Lloyd in 1987. Fair to say they've picked up since then.

Team news

The despondency was clear as Steve Cooper revealed to the media that Scott McKenna was to be ruled out for the remainder of the season after injuring his collar bone at Anfield.

McKenna joins fellow defenders Willy Boly, Serge Aurier, Giulian Biancone and Omar Richards on the defensive injury list, with Joe Worrall set to return.

Goalkeeper Dean Henderson remains out with a hamstring injury, so Keylor Navas will continue in goal. And Cooper's problems don't end there, with Chris Wood, Ryan Yates, Gustavo Scarpa, Jack Colback and Cheikhou Kouyate also sidelined.

Brighton meanwhile, are still without Evan Ferguson, so Danny Welbeck is set to continue up front. The Seagulls are also without Adam Lallana, Jeremy Sarmiento and Tariq Lamptey.

One decision for De Zerbi to make is whether goalkeeper Jason Steele comes back into the team for Robert Sanchez.
