Down welcome Galway to Páirc Esler for their first home game of their Division Two campaign.
The Mourneview have the benefit of having four games in Newry this season with three of those games taking place under lights on a Saturday evening.
However, James McCartan will be hoping for a swift response from his side after they suffered a resounding 1-10 to 0-6 loss to Ulster rivals Derry at Owenbeg last Saturday night.
Niall Loughlin’s early goal paved the way for a comfortable opening win for Rory Gallagher’s men and Down will need to be much better against a Galway side who routed Meath 1-14 to 0-6 in Pearse Stadium last Sunday.
James McCartan has made one change in personnel with Warrenpoint’s Gary McMahon replacing Rory Burns in goals while the Galway starting 15 also features former Antrim panellist Owen Gallagher at right half-forward.
