What channel is Champions League football on tonight? How to watch on TV in UK

Manchester City welcome Diego Simeone's Atletico Madrid to the Etihad Stadium whilst Liverpool will face Benfica at the same time as Champions League football returns. Pep Guardiola and his side are still on course for a historic treble, with two games in two different competitions against Liverpool coming up in the next fortnight.

Atleti come into the quarter-final first leg after six consecutive victories, including a 1-0 win to knock Manchester United out of the same competition in the last 16. City have never faced Atletico before, but know they'll be coming up against one of the most feared defences in Europe, with players that can catch them out on the break — with incredible technical ability and clinical finishing.

City will hope to go one better in the Champions League this season, after falling to Chelsea in the final courtesy of Kai Havertz's winner. Liverpool, meanwhile, travel to Portugal for their last eight tie after being handed a favourable draw to take on Benfica, who currently sit in third place in the Portuguese league, after getting through following a win over Ajax.

Jurgen Klopp's side are, of course, still on for the quadruple, after securing the Carabao Cup with a win over Chelsea in February. But City will attempt to halt Liverpool when they come up against them in the FA Cup next weekend, after a crucial Premier League fixture this weekend.
