The major Premier League clash between Manchester City and Arsenal descended into chaos at full time with Ben White and Phil Foden at the centre of the brawl. Tensions had been building throughout the game with Jack Grealish involved in incidents with both Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey.
The Gunners struggled to gain any foothold in the game, especially after Kevin de Bruyne's opener, and seemingly looked to try and edge the mental battle by winding up City winger Grealish. In the first half, Xhaka was spotted trying to get inside the head of the 27-year-old with the City winger not too receptive to his friendly arm around the shoulder.
Towards the end of the first half, Ruben Dias and White also came to blows, with the latter falling to the floor after a kick-out from Dias. The Portugal international was booked for his role in the clash moments after John Stones had doubled City's lead.

Courtesy of another pass from Erling Haaland, de Bruyne grabbed his second with City's frightening Norwegian striker grabbing his seemingly guaranteed goal late into the clash, with Rob Holding's strike for the visitors merely a consolation. With Arsenal understandably frustrated at how the game had panned out, another incident took place, this time involving England internationals White and Foden.
At the full time whistle, White initially shook hands with Rodri and Julian Alvarez, with Foden walking away from the group towards Leandro Trossard. However, before he could get there, White appeared to grab Foden by the back of the shirt.
The two then exchanged words before White grabbed Foden by the shirt at the shoulder level as the 22-year-old attempted to push the Arsenal star away. Haaland and Bernardo Silva were among a number of City stars that soon arrived on the scene in an attempt to stop the brawl while also voicing their displeasure at White.
Stewards also attempted to separate the two teams but Kyle Walker then clashed with White. Eventually Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard, who had been subbed off, guided his team-mate away from the volatile situation as tempers flared.
