What can Sam Hauser and Luke Kornet give the Boston Celtics?

One may be out injured until about the start of the Boston Celtics’ 2022-23 regular season and the other has yet to receive meaningful regular-season minutes consistently. But reserve forward Sam Hauser had a strong preseason debut followed by an even stronger game against the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday. And big man Luke Kornet is in line to be a starter in certain matchups while starting center Robert Williams III is injured.

CLNS Media’s Bobby Manning previews the two prospects who made strides with the Maine Celtics in the G League last year, and he looks ahead to what they could give the parent club in their new supporting roles in a recent episode of the “Garden Report” podcast.

Take a look at the clip embedded below to hear what he has to say about Kornet and Hauser taking on expanded roles next season.

Note: This was recorded before the suspension of Ime Udoka.
