Arsenal star Bukayo Saka impressed on his World Cup debut for England as he scored twice against Iran in the Three Lions' 6-2 win.
Gareth Southgate took the bold decision to start Saka ahead of Manchester City superstar Phil Foden alongside Raheem Sterling and Harry Kane in attack, a choice which paid off massively. Jude Bellingham, who has been linked with a transfer to both Arsenal and Chelsea next summer, opened the scoring for England before Saka doubled their lead with a brilliant volleyed finish.
Saka then popped up with a fourth after Sterling grabbed a third, slotting home into the bottom corner after some brilliant skill in the Iran penalty box to beat his marker. The Gunners star was substituted in the 71st minute but his performance will surely see him start against the USA on Friday, November 25.

Following his amazing display in Doha, a number of Saka's Arsenal teammates reacted to his performance on social media. Emile Smith Rowe, who was the standout performer for the Gunners last term, tweeted: "sakaaaaa *tears in eyes smiling emoji* *goat emoji"," hinting that he feels the 21-year-old is one of the 'greatest of all time'.
Granit Xhaka, Martin Odegaard and Beth Mead have joined Smith Rowe is praising Saka for his amazing performance for England. Xhaka, who will feature for Switzerland later in the tournament, posted a love heart emoji in the comments under Saka's post following the win over Iran.
Arsenal club captain Martin Odegaard commented a crown emoji and shooting star emoji. England and Arsenal Women's star Beth Mead commented a clapping emoji along with a fire emoji, suggesting Saka was on fire for the Three Lions.
Saka will hope to retain his place for the game against the USA, but Southgate may look to rotate his attack due to the wealth of talent at his disposal to keep his players fit and fighting for a starting spot when it comes to the latter stages if England progress out of Group B.
