What Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke said as LA Rams claim Super Bowl title vs Cincinnati Bengals

Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke was left toasting LA Rams players and fans on Sunday evening as they scooped the Super Bowl LVI crown in a dramatic clash with the Cincinnati Bengals.

The Rams headed into the final quarter four points behind the unfancied Bengals as they aimed to scoop what would be their second Super Bowl success.

However, seven points in the final period of the match saw Los Angeles run out victors.

It represents a major success for current Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke having been involved with the side since 1995 and poured in significant funds to build a brand-new stadium in Los Angeles.

Following the game, the 74-year-old gave his reaction to the Rams claiming the Vince Lombari trophy.

He said: “Amazing, and just really proud of this group. So happy for them, and then you talk about these players.

“They’re unbelievable, and this just hung in there. It was a tough game and I’m just so proud of them executing like they did.

“As far as building this stadium goes, I think it turned out alright.

“Thanks to the great fans of Los Angeles, your first Super Bowl trophy in Rams house.”

Whilst Kroenke has now experienced glory with his NFL franchise, he will certainly hope that the same can be said of Arsenal sooner rather than later.

The Gunners currently look unlikely to be lifting silverware come the end of the campaign but are embroiled in a significant battle to secure a spot in next season’s Champions League.

Mikel Arteta’s men sit sixth in the current standings, two points behind West Ham United with three games in hand.

Their hopes were given a significant boost at the weekend with the likes of the Hammers, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur all failing to secure victory.
