Giddy Ally McCoist believes Kieran Tierney is "playing out his skin" for Scotland after his hat-trick of assists against the Faroe Islands.
The 23-year-old Arsenal star was sensational on Wednesday night as added to his burgeoning reputation with an all-action effort at Hampden in the 4-0 win.
Tierney started the game as the left-sided defender in a back three but regularly was hugging the touchline and delivering brilliant crosses into the box as he dovetailed perfectly with Andy Robertson.
McCoist - who was working as a pundit for ITV's coverage of England vs Poland - admits all-time Gunners legend Ian Wright was left seriously impressed by the updates from Mount Florida.
Speaking on talkSPORT, the Rangers legend said: "Do you know Alan who was superb again last night? Tierney, oh man alive!
"Fantastic, I was talking to (Ian) Wrighty last night and he thinks he's going to the next Arsenal captain.
"They cannot get enough of him.
"Over the three games he was absolutely superb, he was playing kind of left centre back last night but he put two or three balls in for goals.
"He's just playing out his skin the lad."
And Alan Brazil believes the future is bright for the Steve Clarke's side ahead of their EURO 2020 campaign that gets underway against Czech Republic on June 14.
He said: "You think about Robertson and Tierney, what a start that is to have two players like that.
"You start building on that, you put McGinn in there and McTominay, he's now coming in and bossing games, physically he looks to have grown.
"I think we've got a wee chance."
