What are the Burnley local council elections 2022 results?

Voters in Burnley have had their say in the 2022 local elections.

Fifteen seats were available in the wards of Bank Hall, Briercliffe, Brunshaw, Cliviger with Worsthorne, Coalclough with Deerplay, Daneshouse with Stoneyholme, Gannow, Gawthorpe, Hapton with Park, Lanehead, Queensgate, Rosegrove with Lowerhouse, Rosehill with Burnley Wood, Trinity and Whittlefield with Ightenhill.

Ahead of the election, the Burnley Borough Council was controlled by a Labour and Lib Dem coalition.

There are no Lancashire county council elections, with the last election taking place last year.

Local elections took place for more than 200 local authorities across the UK, including all 33 London boroughs and 34 metropolitan boroughs in England. In Greater Manchester seats were available in the region's 10 councils.

Polls closed at 10pm on Thursday, May 5, with the count taking place on Friday.
