Rodrigo Bentancur made quite the impact on his Tottenham debut even though he was only on the pitch for 13 minutes.
Replacing Harry Winks late on in Saturday's 3-1 FA Cup win over Brighton & Hove Albion, the player's name was on the lips of Tottenham fans after the final whistle following a positive cameo appearance.
Calm and composed on the ball to help Spurs see out the game, the Uruguayan also wowed supporters with a moment of real quality as he dragged the ball back to fool Evan Ferguson and buy an extra yard of space outside his own box.
Speaking to the club's official programme about his first week at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and working under Antonio Conte, Bentancur opened up on the Italian head coach and revealed what the 52-year-old said to him before his first training session.
"I'm really excited. I'm excited to play in this league and, knowing that Antonio Conte was here as well, it was one of the most important things in making the decision to come," he said.
"He's a great coach that can help me to improve.
"Sure, we had a chat before the first training session, and he said to me that I have great potential and that l can improve my game.
"It's an honour to have him as my coach and I hope to learn a lot from him. I'm really happy to be here."
Joining Bentancur at the club on transfer deadline day was Juventus teammate Dejan Kulusevski.
Knowing the Swede and Cristian Romero from their time together in Turin, Bentancur has already settled right in at the club thanks to his teammates.
"As soon as I knew that Kulu was coming here I messaged him," he revealed.
"He's a great person, we've shared two years at Juve and he has showed that he's also a great player. He's only 21, so he has a lot of room and potential to improve but he has some incredible qualities, so l hope that we exploit them here.
"It's good to have familiar faces around. I've shared some training sessions with Romero back in Juve as well. The whole squad welcomed me really well and I'm very happy!"
