Darwin Nunez was spotted stamping a foot at a rival defender before Ghana missed a penalty in the match against Uruguay.
Ghana's World Cup clash with Uruguay took just 20 minutes to descend into the type of drama predicted as the African side missed another penalty against their South American rivals.
Controversy was predicted from the moment these two sides were drawn in Group H together, 12 years on from the infamous Luis Suarez handball that helped his side progress into the semi-finals. Ghana have seemingly never forgiven the former Liverpool man, with one journalist from their country asking the striker to apologise and detailing how he is known at 'The Devil'.

Ghana were awarded another spot-kick after a lengthy VAR review this afternoon, with Daniel Sibert adjudging Sergio Rochet to have brought down Mohammed Kudus in the box. Uruguay protested the decision vehemently, and while his teammates gestured with the referee, Nunez cheekily took matters into his own hand.
The current Reds star stamped on the penalty spot while Ghanian players were huddled around trying to protect it, attempting to rough up the ground with which Andre Ayew would eventually miss. Nunez faced plenty of anger from the African side and was booked for his troubles.
Former Swansea City and West Ham striker Ayew - brother of Crystal Palace's Jordan Ayew - strolled casually up to the spot-kick before seeing his weak effort saved.
Uruguay then went up the other end, scoring twice inside six minutes, both courtesy of Giorgian de Arrascaeta - and both assiststed by Suarez - to all but send Uruguay through at the expense of Ghana once again.
