Tyson Fury has insisted that his fight against Dillian Whyte will be his last, claiming that 20 years in boxing is enough for anybody. The Gypsy King started his professional career back in 2008 at the age of 20, beating Hungarian fighter Bela Gyongyosi on the undercard of Carl Froch v Jean Pascal in Nottingham via TKO in the first round.
That was the start of an incredible journey for the 33-year-old, going on to remain unbeaten for the remainder of his 32 professional fights, including beating Wladimir Klitschko in Germany for the WBA, IBF, IBO and The Ring heavyweight titles. Whilst his career has had its ups, there have also been some low points for Fury, including his well-documented struggles with his mental health, but his story has inspired millions to see the help they need and to not suffer in silence.
That kickstarted the comeback trail for Fury, first of all defeating Sefer Seferi before beating former two-time world title challenger Francesco Pianeta. And how can we forget his epic trilogy fight with Deontay Wilder, eventually winning two of the three fights including surviving that stunning combination in round 12 to draw the first fight.
