Manchester United fans have largely welcomed the news that Paul Pogba is leaving Old Trafford.
The club confirmed his exit on Wednesday, with the Frenchman’s contract expiring on June 30. He is being tipped for a return to Juventus. United shelled out a then-world record fee of £89m to re-sign their former academy graduate in 2016.
Pogba scored 39 times in 233 games for the club, winning the League Cup and Europa League under Jose Mourinho in 2017. However, his performances have underwhelmed United supporters who feel they have not got their money’s worth.

Additionally, the player has publicly spoken about an exit on several occasions. Towards the end of his stay, Pogba bore the brunt of some fans' ire from the stands, at one point cupping his ear to some supporters who chanted "f*** off Pogba". By then, several links with Juventus, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain had surfaced.
So it came as no surprise to many fans when United confirmed his departure on Wednesday lunchtime. Many on Twitter were happy to see him go.
