Liverpool fans have taken to social media to react to the news that Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a fee with Brighton for midfielder Yves Bissouma.
The Mali international has captured the eyes of some of the Premier League's top-six for a handful of seasons now - and it appears to Spurs have won the race for his signature according to a new report.
One of the clubs that had been extensively linked with a move for Bissouma was Liverpool. However, it remains to see how genuine that interest ever was, given that it never transpired to be anything more than social media murmurs.

However, with Antonio Conte's men seemingly set to secure the midfielder's services for just £25m, Liverpool fans seem to be in disbelief that there was no competition.
As it stands, the Reds are well-stacked for midfield options ahead of the new season. While Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could be on his way out of the club, Liverpool will be supplemented by the arrival of Fabio Carvalho, plus Harvey Elliott for the full campaign, after the 19-year-old missed large parts of last season with a nasty ankle injury.
But that hasn't stopped some Liverpool supporters from wondering if Jurgen Klopp and Julian Ward should repeat the transfer trick they pulled in January when they stole Luis Diaz from under Tottenham's noses.
