What a £400K Edinburgh home looks like in different neighbourhoods around the city

Edinburgh is known for being among the most expensive places for property in Scotland.

While prices may not quite reach the dizzying highs of London, to own a decent sized home in the capital you'll need to be willing to fork out a lot of money.

Some neighbourhoods are far cheaper than others, however, and a a budget that could give you a lot of options in one part of the city could leave you completely locked out of another.
