Wetherspoons pubs are launching a range of new meals this week and bringing back some old favourites too.
The chain, which has a number of restaurants across Merseyside, is introducing its new menu tomorrow, March 30. Along with the new additions, Wetherspoons is bringing back the popular Steak Club and Curry Club deals.
The new menu will feature four boneless chicken dishes, each served in a basket. They are the Boneless basket, which is three southern-fried chicken strips and five chicken breast bites; Southern-fried chicken strips basket (five strips); Chicken breast bites basket (10 pieces); and Quorn ‘no chicken’ nuggets basket (eight pieces).

All meals will be served with a sauce, as well as coleslaw and a choice of rice or chips. These include BBQ, sweet chilli, JD Honey glaze and sticky soy.
The pubs will also be serving a new char-grilled chicken dish with chicken gravy and the option of mashed potato, chips or jacket potato. At the same time as the new menu launch, Wetherspoon pubs will be reintroducing Steak Club on Tuesdays and Curry Club on Thursdays.
Three new curries are being added to the range too; chicken korma, sweet potato curry, chicken vindaloo. Two new side dishes, onion bhaji and vegetable samosa, are also being added to the menu.
Two new meals are being added to the Steak Club; gammon (five ounce and 10 ounce options) with eggs, served with peas and mushroom, half a tomato, with the choice of chips or jacket potato.
A number of healthy options have also been added to the new-look menu. A fruit salad will be available for breakfast - and also for dessert (served with ice cream) - as well as fruit options to be added to the porridge.
A small pancakes dish (available for breakfast or dessert), smashed avocado muffin and chicken and maple-cured bacon salad will also be available. Wetherspoon is also updating its children’s menu with a new healthy dessert option (strawberries and blueberries), as well as an apple bag added to the free fruit options for all children’s meals.
Matt Elsdon, Wetherspoon’s senior food development manager, said: “We are always looking to offer our customers the best possible choice of meals. We believe our customers will welcome the new meals and will also be pleased at the return of the Steak Club and Curry Club to Tuesday and Thursday nights.
“As always all meals will be of the highest quality and available at value-for-money prices.”
