Weston named as best commuter town for Bristol workers

Bristol's house prices have rocketed over the past decade so it's no surprise people are moving further outside of the city to find cheaper accommodation. In a recent study, conducted by money.co.uk, researchers found that certain commuter towns near Bristol ranked better than others.

The study looked at things to do, nightlife, population aged 20-39, commute time, average house price and average rent to arrive at an overall score. Weston-super-Mare topped the list, with a 6.35 rating out of 10. Located in North Somerset, the town provides the best of both worlds, it's a seaside location, with lots of shops and cultural events - and is just 45 minutes from Bristol.

It has a population of 88,244, with 23.39% being people between the ages of 20 and 39. Per thousand people there are 12.24 activities to choose from as well as 3.17 nightlife places such as bars and clubs.
