Westlife star Nicky Byrne and his family were evacuated while on holiday in Portugal.
The singer, along with his wife Georgina Ahern, their twin sons Rocco and Jay, and daughter Gia, are currently staying in the Quinta do Lago resort in The Algarve. They were take to safety along with other tourists and locals as wildfires ravage parts of Portugal.
Extreme temperatures were more than 45C in the area. The Quinta do Lago resort is owned by Irish billionaire Denis O'Brien.
The golf resort and local town attracts many Irish celebs. Other stars on holiday in the area in recent days include Pippa O'Connor, Brian Ormond, Brian Dowling and Suzanne Jackson.

The Mail on Sunday reports: "The singer was on a family holiday with wife Georgina, sister-in-law Cecelia and father-in-law Bertie Ahern. A source spotted Nicky enjoying a few drinks with former Taoiseach Bertie in a local bar."
"But their pints and conversion were cut short as the pub was evacuated due to the fires which were worsening."
The resort released a statement confirming an evacuation of some residents and guests due to the fire was released earlier in the week. It said: “Following the fire situation in Quinta do Lago, the management of the Quinta do Lago Group would like to reassure all its residents that it is closely monitoring the situation with the competent authorities that are acting onsite.
“Some of the most critical areas close to the fire have been evacuated, as a precaution. We have also decided to close our golf courses, sports facilities and our outlets to ensure the wellbeing of our residents and guests.
“We would also like to appeal to the entire community to remain calm, keep updated as local authorities are working hard on the ground. Keep safe.”
Today will be the hottest day of the year so far as Dublin is set to bake in 32c heat, according to Met Eireann.
Met Eireann 's latest weather forecast this morning describes Monday in Dublin as "hot, dry and mostly sunny". Temperatures in the capital will range between a whopping 27 to 32c but will be "a little cooler close to the coast as southerly breezes will veer southeasterly".
