Westfield creates new 50,000 sq ft health and wellness hub at White City mall

A new heath and wellness hub is opening at the Westfield London centre - (Westfield London)

Westfield is launching a new health and wellness destination at its west London shopping mall in response to shifting customer demand.

Westfield London in Shepherd’s Bush has allocated 50,000 sq ft of space on the upper level of its luxury brands area The Village in what it described as “a major milestone in the centre’s evolution”. .

New openings at the hub, called Health & Wellness at The Village, already trading include Betterview, a laser eye surgery clinic, which launched in August 2024, while private pharmacy group Prince Pharmacy, is in the final stages of preparing a flagship branch for launch.

StretchLAB will unveil a 1,462 sq. ft. space in April offering “personalised one-on-one assisted stretching to enhance mobility and flexibility.”

Effect Doctors, a specialist operator known for treatments such as IV drips, diagnostic blood tests, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, weight loss programmes, iron infusion, will open a 550 sq. ft. clinic later in the Spring.

So.Shell, a premium London nail and brow salon, will open a 740 sq. ft. space, also before the summer.

The UK’s private healthcare market is now valued at £11 billion and a recent report commissioned by Westfield called How We Shop: From Play to Purpose, found that 70% of UK adults are open to accessing non-emergency health services in non-traditional settings like shopping centres.

Constantin Wiesmann, UK leasing director at French owned parent company Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, said: “The health and wellness sector is experiencing significant growth driven by a demand for convenient and personalised healthcare options, as highlighted in our How We Shop research.

“At Westfield London, we are dedicated to creating innovative spaces that evolve with the changing needs of our communities and visitors. ”
