Fifteen people have been hurt in a crash between a tour bus and a truck in remote Western Australia, with two sustaining potentially serious injuries.
Police said the crash occurred about 9.10am on Friday on Port Gregory Road in Sandy Gully, north-west of Northampton, a town about 50km north of Geraldton.
They said it appeared the bus was heading towards Northampton and the truck was travelling in the opposite direction.
There were 45 passengers and two staff on board the bus. Fourteen passengers and the truck driver were treated at the scene by St John’s Ambulance crews, police said. Of the injured passengers, eight were taken to Geraldton hospital and six to Northampton hospital.
Police said all had minor injuries bar two who “may have serious injuries”.
Northampton is about 16.3km from the Sandy Gully intersection on Port Gregory Road.
