People looking for fun ways to entertain the family this festive season should look no further than a popular zoo and animal sanctuary in West Lothian.
The Five Sisters Zoo in West Calder is hosting its incredible Christmas light trail and Santa's Grotto, with dates throughout December – and there are still tickets available.
The events, which take place in the evening after the wildlife park closes, feature a huge trail of lights spanning throughout the zoo, with a Grotto where kids can meet Santa Claus and give him their Christmas wishes, festive market stalls and even a heated bar area.

Running from Thursday, December 1, every evening from 4 pm – 9 pm until 24th December (closes at 7pm on 24th December) the exciting event has plenty to offer from Children's rides, Christmas displays and a magical walkthrough tunnel.
Wildlife lovers will also enjoy the lifesize animal lanterns, while there will also be plenty of food and drink on offer, including hot chocolates and an open firepit for marshmallow toasting.
They will also be hosting a special Additional Support Needs (ASN) evening (December 7), where there will be fewer people, smaller queues and quieter music.
You can find more information on how to get tickets from the Five Sisters website.
