West Lothian thieves steal cash and jewellery from safe in smash-and-grab raid

Police Scotland are appealing for information following a break-in and theft from a property in West Lothian yesterday, Wednesday 26 January.

The incident occurred between 10:15am and 12:40pm at a property in Raeburn Crescent, Whitburn, with the thieves forcing entry and making off with a bundle of cash and jewellery.

A safe inside the property was accessed, containing documents, a three-figure sum of cash, jewellery and watches.

Police Scotland are now appealing for potential witnesses or anyone who may have footage of the incident to come forward.

Detective Sergeant Lee McCall said: "Enquiries into this incident are ongoing and I would urge anyone who witnessed this incident or who has any information to come forward.

"We are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen any suspicious activity.

"We would also be keen to hear from anyone who may have dashcam or private CCTV footage."
