West Lothian thieves snatch jewellery from house in broad daylight break-in

Police in West Lothian have issued an appeal for information after a home was broken into in broad daylight this week.

Enquiries are currently ongoing into the incident in East Calder, after a property was targeted on Main Street on Wednesday, October 26.

Speaking in an appeal, officers said the home was broken into at some time between 12.10pm and 5.20pm, where a selection of items were taken.

A quantity of jewellery, estimated to be worth around £1,000 was also stolen from the property.

Detective Constable Adam Gow, of Livingston CID, said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and I am appealing to members of the public who may have any information which could assist us to get in touch.

“I would ask anyone who was in the area between the times mentioned and noticed anything suspicious to contact police.”

Anyone with any information is urged to contact 101, quoting incident 2922 of 26 October, 2022.
