West Lothian thieves snatch family car and wallet in early morning break in

A West Lothian house was targeted on Friday with a number of items stolen by thieves.

Police in West Lothian have issued an appeal for information after a number of items including a car were stolen from a property on Friday morning (May 20.)

According to officers, those responsible had arrived at the Blackridge property at around 4am before carrying out the break in.

Taking a selection of items, a white golf GTI was taken from the property, with the registration plate DK18 XMX.

In addition, a mobile phone and a wallet were also snatched from the property, with police urging anyone with information to get in touch on 101.

Speaking in an appeal on Friday afternoon, West Lothian police said:

"Officers are investigating a housebreaking in Blackridge. Around 4am this morning, a white golf GTI reg DK18 XMX was stolen from a property on Woodhill Road.

"A phone and wallet were also taken. Anyone with info can call 101 quoting incident 0754 of 20 May 2022."
