West Lothian star Lewis Capaldi strips half naked for photoshoot ahead of new single launch

Lewis Capaldi has stunned fans after taking his kit off for a national billboard photoshoot to promote his new single.

The 25-year-old singer is set to release his new song, 'Forget Me' on Friday 9 September - and he got half naked to celebrate. The Someone You Loved singer announced the news of his highly anticipated new music during a TikTok live last week as he performed at the O2 arena in London.

Taking to Twitter to share the snaps, Capaldi wrote: "Took my clothes off and traumatised the general public all in the name of shameless self promotion. Sex sells. New single FORGET ME out the 9th September x"

The billboard sees a shirtless Capaldi straight faced, as he poses wearing nothing but boxers and sunglasses while holding a cocktail. Following the snaps, he wrote: "I swear to god if I’ve stripped down to my pants and put it on billboards all over the world to promote this new single just for it to be a massive flop I’ll be so embarrassed"

So far, Capaldi's cheeky snaps have racked up an impressive 17k likes as fans can't get enough of the snaps. One joked: "Someone's gran is gonna have a heart attack when she sees them"

Another penned: "Raw sex appeal like getting Greggs sausage roll flakes on yer peely wally Scottish skin and then eating them later," while a third wrote: "that is the best billboard ad i have ever seen, proud of u lc"

A fourth said: "I think you look absolutely gorgeous. And it's about time you start showing off your body... You have nothing to be ashamed about. Love them shoulders! XOXO."

This comes after Capaldi responded to a fan pointed out the resemblance between him and new Prime Minister Liz Truss. The Bruises singer replied after a fan wrote: "Congratulations @LewisCapaldi on becoming the next Prime minister #LizTruss," alongside an older photo of Truss from her campaigning days in the 1990s.

The West Lothian star penned in response: "Why do I look like so many female politicians," - with his tweet racking up 17k likes.
