West Lothian pensioner with dementia disappears as frantic police search launched

A West Lothian pensioner with dementia has disappeared, sparking a frantic police search to trace his whereabouts.

John Wilson, 79, was last seen around 11.45 on Tuesday, May 30 in the Westfield Farm area of Bathgate, with concerns growing for his welfare as members of the public are being urged to get in touch if they see him.

John is described as white, around 5ft 9ins, slim build and balding with grey hair and a grey beard. He was last seen wearing a pink polo shirt, navy shorts and black Sketchers trainers.

Inspector David MacMillan said: “Concerns are growing for John’s welfare and we want to make sure his is safe and well. Please get in touch if you have seen John today or know of his whereabouts.”

Anyone with information that could help is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference 3575 of Tuesday, 30 May, 2023.
