They also confirmed that enquiries are still ongoing, and anyone with any information should contact them in the first instance.
As reported by Edinburgh Live earlier this month, Blair Gault was discovered on a footpath between Buchanan Crescent and Fintry Avenue in Livingston after emergency crews were alerted to a man reportedly injured in the area by locals.
The 32-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene in the early hours of Tuesday, November 16, with Police Scotland's major investigation team (MIT) launching a major investigation shortly afterwards.
Residents were warned to expect a “significant presence” of officers in the local area for a short period while inquiries into Mr Gault’s death were carried out.
Police have also confirmed earlier this month that two men, aged 51 and 33, and two women, 52 and 54, have been arrested in connection with the incident, but no charges have yet been brought.
A statement read: “Following a police operation this morning, two men, aged 51 and 33 and two women, aged 52 and 54, have been arrested in connection with the death of Blair Gault."
