A Whitburn freemason has played his part in raising a £1 million for Prostate Scotland after completing a heart raising zip slide.
Jim McGregor, from West Lothian, was part of 22 freemasons from across the country that raised almost £50,000 for the charity.
The Grand Lodge of Scotland’s Make It A Million campaign hopes to raise £1 million pound for Prostate Scotland, the Daily Record reports.

The zip slide took place at Killiecrankie, it had to be reorganised after an earlier charity event had to be cancelled following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Jim said: “It was a real honour to be involved in such a successful fund-raising event, especially since the money is going to Prostate Scotland, which is such an important cause.
“I am just one of thousands of freemasons who have contributed to the grand total of £1.1 million.
“A cheque for that amount will be handed over to the charity in Edinburgh later in November on what will be a historic occasion.
“It is the first time the Grand Lodge of Scotland will have presented a single recipient with over £1 million and I’m delighted to have played a small part.”
