Police in West Lothian are appealing for information after a 33-year-old man was seriously assaulted at a public park over the weekend.
The man was rushed to hospital and is being treated for 'lacerations', suggesting he was attacked with a sharp object, with police saying they are hunting two men in connection with the incident.
The man was approached at Meadowpark public park in Bathgate on Saturday, September 3, by two men who reportedly threatened him and then carried out the 'serious assault'.

He was rushed to the nearby St John's Hospital and hospital staff describe his condition as stable.
The first suspect is described as white, aged 20-30 years, around 5’7” in height and of large build with a beard. He was wearing a blue hooded top.
The second suspect is described as white, aged 20-30 years, around 5ft 5” in height and of slim build. He was wearing a grey hooded top and grey jogging trousers.
Detective Constable David McDougall said: “Our enquiries are continuing to trace the two men who are responsible for this attack.
“I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time who witnessed this incident take place, or who has any information that may assist our investigation to contact officers through 101 with reference 2928 of 2 September.
