A West Lothian driver who was allegedly clocked driving at 91mph also tested positive for cannabis after being stopped by police.
Officers were carrying out routine speed enforcement patrols on the busy M9 between West Lothian and Edinburgh when they say one driver was observed driving at speeds of 91mph.
After being hauled over down the road, a supposed smell of cannabis was detected from within the vehicle.
The driver allegedly provided a positive drug test for the substance and was subsequently arrested. Officers reported the incident on the Road Policing Scotland Twitter account to inform the public.
They said: “LivingstonRP carried out speed enforcement on the M9. A motorist was observed driving at 91mph. Once stopped officers noticed that a smell of cannabis”
