West Lothian doggy daycare and soft play opens with homemade treats and café

Scotland's largest doggy daycare centre and soft play Paw Haus has opened in West Lothian.

The biggest doggy daycare centre in the whole of the UK, it offers both indoor and outdoor play areas, as well as classes for dog owners to learn and have fun.

Paw Haus is providing those who have recently returned to office working with additional support and reassurance that their four-legged friends will be safe in their absence.

The centre offers stimulation and support for dogs as they learn and play in their huge play zone, which is always supervised and helped by our outstanding team of "waggy tail-makers."

The team also provide training, puppy classes, breed-specific events and even birthday parties. Paw Haus believe it can help people to have the best possible time with their dogs.

Ewan Hunter, Director, said: "We so often minimise the importance of play – for both humans and our dogs. Dogs preferred learning method is through play, and we seek to embrace and enhance that by giving each one of our furry customers a brilliant experience."

In the week of #InternationalWomensDay, the team at Paw Haus felt it was even more appropriate to consider all such aspects of today’s working life, especially for many women.

As one of the Directors at Paw Haus, Angela Fagan, commented: "Whilst the discussion about remote working is raging, very often the millions of dogs – and there are over 10 million dogs in families across the nations of the UK - who are an integral part of their families are forgotten about. Like many other things, it so often falls to the women in these households to consider the impact upon the dogs."

She continued: "We know that with the return to the office, there are enormous impacts upon so many dogs. Not just the huge changes in the routine to their daily lives, but the anxiety and behavioural impacts this can induce.

"We provide a home-from-home environment to help enable our pet-parents to return to the office, or do other things like nip to the shops, go out for a meal or even take a trip to the cinema, safe in the knowledge that our experienced, trained and highly capable team of waggy tail-makers are providing a stimulating, caring and safe environment for their much-loved dogs."

For those wishing to remain on-site whilst their dogs have a great time, there is also a café serving organic, fair-trade coffee and a range of teas alongside snacks.

Paw Haus are working with other UK-based partners by also offering a wide range of handmade and specialist doggy treats and cakes, as well as other items for play and support like Dogrobes.
