West Lothian deaf dog looking for his forever home after being 'misunderstood'

A dog shelter in West Lothian is seeking a forever home for a deaf Staffie cross.

Arthur loves attention and is looking for a new family with experience of owning or training a deaf dog before. He is a friendly pup who is happy to say hello to everyone he meets but can be misunderstood by people so will need help learning hand signals for communication.

He is currently with a foster family where he gets much needed TLC after being up for adoption since September. Arthur would need his new owners to be at home often as he isn't left to be on his own and would need an adult only home. He also should be the only pet.

The 10-year-old pup is a 'sweet dog', according to the shelter and they believe he was born deaf.

Dogs Trust West Calder (Edinburgh) adds: "Arthur loves to explore the great outdoors and can easily manage short walks. He would like a home with a garden where he can potter around, enjoying the sun and chasing after his toys.

"Arthur is eager to please people for a tasty treat and is happy to jump in the car to go on new adventure."
