West Lothian business has till snatched by thieves in Halloween break-in

Police in West Lothian have appealed for information after thieves managed to snatch a till from a local business.

Officers are hoping to speak to anyone who may have "seen anything suspicious" after the premises in Livingston Village was targeted on Halloween.

Occurring at around 1am on Monday, October 31, 2022, police believe two men had gained entry into the premises, before taking the till with them.

The first suspect is described as a man, around 5ft 8in in height, of slim build. He was wearing a dark jacket with the hood up and dark trousers.

The second suspect is described as a man, 5ft 8in in height, of slim build. He was wearing a black jacket with a white cross on the chest, he had the hood up and a black face mask on.

Detective Constable Laura Hanlon said: “We are appealing for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious or observed two man matching the description to get in touch.

“I would also ask anyone in the area to check any dashcam footage or private CCTV and contact us if they believe they can assist.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting incident 0591 of 31 October, 2022.
