Several buildings in West Lothian were evacuated last night following a suspected gas leak at a petrol station, caused by a three-car smash.
Police in West Lothian issued a statement on the incident via social media, informing people that they were in attendance at a petrol station in the Almondvale area of Livingston.
Surrounding roads were also closed as a precaution following the smash, with police asking people to avoid the area if possible.
Officers left the scene just before 1am in the morning and today, April 25, issued an update on the incident.
They said that nobody was injured and thanked locals for their patience in dealing with the collision.

The incident is understood to have occurred at the Morrisons fuel garage on Alderstone Road, as officers informed the public that roads were closed between Adambrae, Almondvale and Newpark Road roundabouts, as well as Alderstone Road.
The updated statement from police this morning read: "Officers in Livingston were called to a petrol station on Almondvale Road around 7.45pm last night (Sunday, 24 April) following a report of a three-vehicle crash.
"There were no serious injuries reported. Nearby buildings were evacuated as a precaution following a suspected gas leak, which was declared safe around 12.50am.
Inspector Brendan McMahon said: "We’d like to thank local residents for their patience and understanding, as we worked alongside Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and engineers to ensure the area was safe."
