Fauldhouse boxer Reese Lynch is in Commonwealth Games gold medal action this afternoon.
The 21-year-old progresses to today's final with a fine victory over Canada's Wyatt Sandford in the light welterweight division and now is just one win away from clinching a gold medal for Scotland.
Lynch paid tribute to Josh Taylor following his semi-final win after the world champion and 2014 gold medallist paid the Scottish boys a visit prior to the semi-finals - with three progressing into today's finals.
He said: "It gives you belief. It’s good to meet boys like that, people you look up to supporting you.”
It was a unanimous decision as Lynch beat his Canadian opponent yesterday, winning every round from all five judges.
Today's final is due to start at 3.15pm.
