West Lothian 26-year-old woman found dead after police race to quiet local lane

A 26-year-old woman has died in West Lothian after police had raced to a property on Saturday evening (May 6.)

Officers in West Calder confirmed that the young woman had died after they received a call out to Learmonth Crescent shortly after 6.40pm.

The quiet residential lane had been cordoned off on Saturday evening, with police currently treating the death as "unexplained", while enquiries are carried out.

According to the EEN, a post mortem examination is still to be completed.

Speaking about the incident, a Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police Scotland are carrying out enquiries into the death of a 26-year-old woman following a call to an address in West Calder at around 6.40pm on Saturday, 7 May.”

"A post mortem examination will be carried out in due course however the death is being treated as unexplained."
