West Ham XI vs Southampton: Starting lineup, confirmed team news, injury latest for Premier League today

West Ham have today been boosted by the return of both Nayef Aguerd and Emerson Palmieri for the visit of Southampton, but Gianluca Scamaccamisses out.

The Hammers start the run-in inside the Premier League relegation zone and welcome bottom side Saints to the London Stadium for a six-pointer.

Speaking ahead of the game on Friday, David Moyes revealed Aguerd was carrying a hip issue, while Scamacca has a knee problem and Emerson had been suffering with illness.

All three were assessed on Saturday before any decision was taken over their involvement.

Vladimir Coufal is also back, making the bench.

The right-back missed the Irons’ last two league games prior to the international break with a persistent heel problem but was fit enough to start both matches for Czech Republic over the last fortnight.

Moyes also returns Lukasz Fabianski in goal with the Pole having recovered from a fractured cheekbone suffered in the 4-0 win over Nottingham Forest last month.
