West Ham XI vs Brentford: Starting lineup, confirmed team news and injury latest for Premier League

Jarrod Bowen leads the line for West Ham - (ES Composite)

West Ham have been handed a major boost ahead of Saturday’s Premier League clash against Brentford.

Graham Potter’s side have had something of a rest as they sat out of the fourth round of the FA Cup, having been knocked out by Aston Villa in the third round last month.

That has allowed time to recover some players.

All of Lucas Paqueta, Jean-Clair Todibo and Edson Alvarez have returned to West Ham training, after the trio missed the 2-1 defeat at Chelsea earlier this month, and Paqueta and Alvarez come straight into the side.

Evan Ferguson is named on the bench so will have to wait for his debut, while James Ward-Prowse is also among the substitutes after cutting short a loan stint at Nottingham Forest.

Niclas Fullkrug and Michail Antonio are long-term absentees, but things are otherwise looking up for Irons boss Potter.

However, Potter revealed on Thursday that winger Crysencio Summerville is out until after the March international break following a setback in his recovery from a hamstring injury.

West Ham XI: Areola, Wan-Bissaka, Kilman, Mavropanos, Emerson, Soucek, Alvarez, Kudus, Paqueta, Soler, Bowen

Subs: Fabianski, Cresswell, Todibo, Scarles, Ward-Prowse, Rodríguez, Irving, Guilherme, Ferguson

Time and date: 3pm GMT on Saturday 15 February 2025

Venue: London Stadium

TV channel and live stream: Not available in the UK
