West Ham XI vs Bournemouth: Confirmed team news, predicted lineup and injury latest for Premier League

West Ham face a difficult outing as they host Bournemouth - (ES Composite)

West Ham return to Premier League action this weekend as they host Andoni Iraola’s high-flying Bournemouth at the London Stadium.

The Irons will look to bounce back from a disappointing 1-0 loss away to Wolves last time out, and they may well be boosted as some of the walking wounded are set to return from injury.

Speaking ahead of the match, manager Graham Potter confirmed Jean-Clair Todibo had returned to training after the summer signing had been dealing with an apparent illness.

Potter explained why the Frenchman missed the Wolves clash: “He just felt worse and worse as Tuesday went on. We thought he might be able to come on, but he was just getting worse.

“He's just finished Ramadan as well, and in the end he was just too poorly to play.”

Tricky Ghanaian forward Mohamed Kudus is in “light training” after suffering a minor injury in training ahead of the Wolves defeat.

Italian full back Emerson Palmieri is dealing with a niggling calf problem, but will be available for Saturday’s match.

Still sidelined are Michail Antonio (broken leg) and Crysencio Summerville (thigh).

Also a question mark ahead of Bournemouth’s visit is Luis Guilherme, who was hooked at halftime against Wolves after struggling to influence the game, managing just 15 touches of the ball and none in the hosts’ penalty area

On the 19-year-old Brazilian’s performance, Potter said: “He is a fantastic lad who wants to help. His time will come again.”

Hauled off alongside Guilherme was Evan Ferguson, who had a similarly difficult first half and was replaced by former Borussia Dortmund man Niclas Fullkrug. Ever cryptic, Potter hinted he could be handed a first start since he went off injured 15 minutes into an FA Cup clash at Villa Park.

“He's working hard in training and wants to play, and we'll see how much he can do at the weekend,” said Potter.

Predicted West Ham XI: Areola; Mavropanos, Kilman, Cresswell; Wan-Bissaka, Ward-Prowse, Paqueta, Emerson; Bowen, Fullkrug, Kudus

Injured: Antonio, Summerville

Doubts: Kudus, Emerson

Time and date: 3pm BST on Saturday April 5, 2025
