West Ham XI vs Aston Villa: Confirmed lineup and team news - Andriy Yarmolenko returns on the bench

David Moyes has made two changes from the West Ham side that lost against Sevilla on Thursday for their Premier League clash with Aston Villa.

Goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski returns in place of Alphonse Areola, while Said Benrahma replaces Nikola Vlasic.

Ukraine forward Andriy Yarmolenko returns to the West Ham squad following compassionate leave and is on the bench.

West Ham are once again be without Jarrod Bowen.

The winger limped off against Liverpool last weekend, missing the trip to Seville in the Europa League.

Moyes said before the game: “We’ve got one or two knocks and niggles. Regarding Jarrod, he’s not going to be available for the game at the weekend.

“We’re hoping he can continue to make some improvement. He’s getting slightly better.

“It’s a really difficult injury to diagnose completely and that’s probably a bit of the hold up with it. We hope we can get him a bit closer to fitness, but he won’t be available for this weekend’s game.”

West Ham XI: Fabianski, Johnson, Zouma, Dawson, Cresswell, Soucek, Rice, Lanzini, Benrahma, Antonio, Fornals

Subs: Areola, Yarmolenko, Noble, Diop, Fredericks, Masuaku, Kral, Oko-Flex, Perkins

Venue: London Stadium

Time and date: 2pm GMT, Sunday 13 March 2022
